Babbage’s Bistro is Back: New Partnership Revealed Ahead of November Reopening
Mountain View Innovation Centre is delighted to announce that Babbage’s Bistro will officially reopen on 17 November, under an exciting new catering partnership bringing together the experience behind the iconic Ginger Hall in Sulby and the popular lakeside retreat Sunset Lakes in Peel.
Following the recent teaser that new catering partners were coming to Babbage’s, customers will get their first taste of what’s to come when the team fires up the Babbage’s kitchen for the Balley Cashtal Christmas Market on 7 and 8 November, ahead of the Bistro’s official reopening.
At the heart of the new venture are Mark from The Ginger Hall and Natalie from Sunset Lakes, bringing together the experience behind two distinctive Island businesses, along with complementary backgrounds and a shared passion for hospitality, great customer experience and the local community.
After a career in the Armed Forces and project management, Mark entered the hospitality sector with his wife Anya when they took on the lease of The Ginger Hall Hotel. Over the past three years, they have transformed and developed the business, investing in the hotel, growing its restaurant and accommodation offering and building strong relationships with Island suppliers. The Ginger Hall has developed a loyal following among locals and visitors alike, and Mark is looking forward to bringing that experience to Babbage’s, meeting new customers and helping to further establish the Bistro as a go-to place to eat in the north of the Island.
Natalie brings a different but complementary perspective to the partnership. With a background in legal services and human resources, alongside her experience successfully relaunching Sunset Lakes, she brings entrepreneurial drive, a strong people focus and a passion for creating places where customers feel genuinely welcome.
Together, Mark and Natalie plan to build on what customers already love about Babbage’s, while bringing fresh ideas, new energy and opportunities to develop the Bistro further.
Mark and Natalie said:

Their plans include a continued focus on locally sourced produce wherever possible, developing the Bistro’s weekend offering and, once the new operation is established, bringing back popular themed evenings.
The partnership will also work closely with Mountain View’s conference and events team to develop catering for corporate bookings, meetings and private events, broadening the Bistro’s offering and creating further opportunities for the venue.

Customers won’t have to wait until 17 November to see the new team in action. Mark, Natalie and the team will be firing up the Babbage’s kitchen for the Balley Cashtal Christmas Market on 7 and 8 November, serving up a straightforward selection of hearty baps, sandwiches and Market favourites to keep visitors fuelled throughout the weekend.
Babbage’s Bistro officially reopens on 17 November, with a new weekday menu bringing together some familiar Bistro favourites and fresh new ideas from Mark and Natalie. The full menu, opening hours and booking information will all be revealed very soon.
